For a vintage car enthusiast, there are few finer ways to spend a Sunday than by visiting Thirlestane on June 6th.

The 38th Annual BVAC Historic Motoring Extravaganza is on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June 2010 and is again to be held in the magnificent setting of Thirlestane Castle.   Thirlestane Castle is just off the A68, near Lauder, 29 miles South of Edinburgh.

NOTES:-

All traders (including Fairground Operators & Rides) must be able to produce a current valid insurance certificate & operator's certificate/licence where applicable.

Vendors must be in possession of a current certificated fire extinguisher of adequate size and the appropriate type.

All goods for sale or on display to the general public must comply with the Scottish Borders Council Trading Authority requirements.

The Organisers have the right to refuse any application.

Entry to the Showground will be available from 12.00hrs to 17.00hrs on Saturday 5th June.   If you wish to arrive on Sunday 6th June, entry will be available from 08.00hrs and you will be expected to be in position by 10-30hrs as the show opens to the public at 11-00hrs.  The show closes at 17-00hrs and pitches should be cleared by 19.00hrs.

Camping and Caravanning -
Special Rates will be available on the fully-serviced official Thirlestane Castle Caravan & Camping Park:
This tariff will only apply to persons exhibiting in the show.  A deposit will be taken on booking.

Price per Caravan/Motorhome with 2 Persons £10-00, or with electrical hook up £11-00;  Extra persons £3-50.
Awnings are charged at £1-50 per night.  Extra cars, other than rally cars, charged at £1-50 per night.
Price per Tent with 2 persons - £10-00,   Extra persons £3-50.  Please note: There is no electricity in the tenting area.

Showfield overnight camping will be allowed to
vendors only on their allocated sales pitch in order to secure their goods.

Facilities will be limited to the use of portaloos only.  This camping will be free of charge and is available on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights.
You will be expected to arrive during daylight hours.
